About Adventures Newfoundland
Adventures Newfoundland, formerly Canoe Hill Adventures, was founded in 2002 by Paul Langdon. Since that time, we’ve been offering quality sea kayaking adventures in the Bay of Exploits on the Northeast coast of the island of Newfoundland.
After much thought and discussion, we recently decided to undergo a rebranding exercise, giving us a fresh new look under our new name of Adventures Newfoundland. Our new site now offers, for the first time, an exciting and action-packed hiking and camping tour on the historic Island of Exploits. More than just a business, we have a passion to showcase our section of Newfoundland and Labrador to the rest of the world. Many sea kayaking companies from far and wide come and go here, offering expedition-style tours in the Bay of Exploits, but we believe we are truly unique because this is where we were born. We are Newfoundlanders!
Newfoundland and Labrador has become a popular tourist destination. The government’s promotion and television commercials are spectacular and award winning, focusing on our magnificent scenery, natural history and our colorful, diverse culture. Who better to ensure you get the full experience you desire than a local company! We have lived the stories; we have the accents; we were raised on the traditional cuisine, such as fish and brewis, jigs dinner, and pea soup, and where a “boil up“ is nearly as common as eating to your kitchen table. Now, one of our guides was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, but did you know that Newfoundland was once a part of Africa? Just one small part of what you will learn while on one of our tours! A lifetime of living and working in the outdoors has given us an intricate knowledge of our little corner of the world that we would love to share with you.
Whether you choose a day on the water kayaking or a full-blown expedition kayaking tour, we are committed to ensuring you get what you came for while being comfortable and safe.
Take a look at our team and feel confident you will be in good hands!
